Self in the Liminalgallery

This self-portrait series explores relationship with memory and the pivotal events that have shaped my identity. Each print presents the same portrait, overlaid with different sections of a photograph taken from an airplane when I was 11 years old. That journey led me to a new land, the loss of my father, and a profound sense of isolation. It is difficult not to wonder how life might have unfolded differently, but such reflections are rarely productive. Instead, I regard those clouds as a threshold—a liminal space from which I have emerged transformed. This series serves as both a celebration of that passage and a testament of resilience, while also embodying a forward-looking faith in what is to come.
