Cyanotype and gelatin on glass, wax twine, acrylic
8”x96”x2.5”

Memories of my 10th birthday party are not recalled but exists in photographs. I’ve carried around these prints, about a dozen, with so many questions about this period of my life. I can’t retrieve a single fragment of memory from this seemingly enjoyable celebration. This piece is an installation of twelve cyanotype and gelatin prints on glass, slivered vertically in random widths, each pane bound with waxed twine. Images that carried social familiarity, a birthday celebration, is disrupted, and disassociated from the photo plane. The harmonious wave form and the disunified slivers is the dissonance I continue to have with these photos.
